A while back I was talking to a friend of mine, in regards to the fact that he doesn’t believe in the validity of academic studies as the base for one’s knowledge or ability to occupy a certain job position. While in general I do agree, I also believe that some academic studies do give the student a certain level of analytical skills, thus, granting him additional tools for problem analysis.

Today, another friend of mine had directed me to a blog post, made on the Friday Reflections  blog, talking about just that. The writer tells a story of a man without any education what so ever, that seems to be articulated as if he had completed an academic degree. I strongly suggest that you read it, as it will give you a new perspective about Education and Intelligence.
